Yeah, Our clients were recently winners in the USDA Value Added Producer Grant Competition. Click here for the recent press release. Microbial Earth / Rangeland Restoration & Improvement LP, won second stage funding of $250,000 in matching funds to expand operations of its value added compost and compost tea business. Green Gate Farms has provided leadership in applying for $87,500 in matching funds for a first phase planning grant. 100% of the funds will fund local research by Sunergie and the City of Austin into utilizing chicken manure in the production of bokashi (fermented bran). Bokashi is utilized as a soil ammendment and also as the active ingredient in Bokashi food scrap / compost systems. The City of Austin - Solid Waste Services is committed to a zero-waste future and bokashi bins can provide an excellent tool for apartments, condos and home owner associations.
